Cypress Falls students raise money for muscular dystrophy

More than 130 students from Cypress Falls HS HOSA, PALs, Art Club, and other organizations participated in the MDA Muscle Walk on Sept. 26. Students raised more than $3,000 by selling shamrocks for $1 at sporting events for the last three weeks and by collecting private donations for muscular dystrophy.

Cypress Falls students show their support for a fellow classmate with muscular dystrophy by raising money and participating the MDA Muscle Walk.

The campus organizations participated in the event to honor Cy Falls sophomore Allie Funk who has muscular dystrophy. "She was so proud and excited to see the over 100-plus students show up early Saturday morning after a Friday night football game to walk and volunteer in her honor," said Kajay Garman.
