Transportation department hosts Third Annual CFPD Appreciation Lunch

The CFISD Transportation department presented CFPD officers and security with gifts of appreciation for their hard work and dedication.
The CFISD transportation department fed and encouraged CFPD at the Third Annual CFPD/Security Appreciation Lunch on Monday. Transportation employees served officers and security personnel a full barbecue spread at Cy-Fair HS to show their appreciation.

"We just wanted to show our appreciation and gratitude for CFPD," expressed Kayne Smith, assistant director of human resources for Transportation. "CFPD does a lot for our students and staff; they keep us safe."

Along with transportation employees, many other moving parts in the district helped make the appreciation lunch successful. "This wouln't have been successful without the help of Facilities, Operations, Food Service and Paul and Bridget Rome," said Bill Powell director for transportation.

Transportation's continual support has encourages CFPD, and creates a unique bond between bus drivers, officers and transportation administrators.

"Our hats are off to them," said Police Chief Alan Bragg. "What a tremendous job they have, safely busing our students across the district. We're just there when they need us."


Transportation employees sport "Back the Badge" shirts to show their appreciation to CFPD.
