Students exhibit advanced-level products at HORIZONS Showcase

HORIZONS students from around the district presented advanced-level products and interactive experiments at the HORIZONS Showcase on April 4.
More than 3,400 CFISD students and their families attended an interactive exhibit of advanced-level products created by HORIZONS students on April 4. Gifted and Talented students from every CFISD campus had an opportunity to demonstrate creativity and innovation by creating products based on the HORIZONS curriculum. The total number of products are as follows:

250 elementary products
75 middle school products
108 high school products

Many student products included live performances such as this live display of the solar system.

Students demonstrated their products through presentations, demonstrations, performances and interactive games. Many students collaborated together to create the best possible products to display in the showcase. Integrating subjects like social studies, science and robotics, students gained a well-rounded experience to further their academic achievements.

Many of the advanced students took on robotics projects to integrate their learning in subjects like science and social studies.
