| Lauren Adams, Aug. 9, 1959 - July 20, 2017 |
Lauren P. Adams, teacher at Reed Elementary School, passed away on July 20, 2017. After graduating from Dowling College in 1981 she moved to Houston Texas to pursue a career in education. Adams spent 14 years of her 35-year career in CFISD. Previous to her time at Reed ES, Adams taught at Metcalf ES and served as a math helping teacher at the ISC. Throughout her career she shaped hundreds of students, mentored many teachers and touched the lives of countless others with her endless care and giving.
Twila Jackson, first-grade teacher at Emmott Elementary School, passed away on Aug. 1, 2017. Jackson was an educator for 31 years and was hired at Emmott ES in 1991 where she taught for 23 years.
