Back to School Workshop Recap
This year, in order
to accommodate everyone’s needs, we were excited to be able to host our ‘Back
to School Workshop’ in two formats: a half-day and a full-day workshop.
On the Aug. 16
sessions, (AM & PM), at the Natatorium, we welcomed 43 participants
representing 22 campuses and 3 support facilities. On Aug. 23 (full day) at the
Berry Center, 28 participants representing 23 campuses and district facilities,
attended the workshop.
Of the 91
campuses in CFISD including 49 Title I campuses; 29 Title I campuses were
represented and, overall, 77 people from 45 schools and facilities attended the
workshop.

The class was
designed for campus translators to learn standardized Spanish vocabulary and
customer service best practices when communicating and interacting with parents.

The interactive workshop sessions highlighted components in the following areas: Spanish grammar; language usage; customer service; and Spanish communication resources.
