Toro visits Gleason ES

Houston Texans mascot Toro high-fives Gleason ES kindergarten student Jordan Gonzales after he volunteered for Toro’s presentation on bullying at the school on May 29.

The Gleason ES PTO sponsored a special visit by the Houston Texans mascot, Toro, on May 29. Toro and the Houston Texans encouraged students to help put a stop to bullying.

Toro used the “BULLY” acronym to take the “bull” out of bullying:

Be Confident
Use Your Voice
Leave
Look out for Others
Y’ Would You Bully?

“The kids absolutely loved interacting with Toro and the Texans,” said Melody Goffney, Gleason ES principal. “They answered questions and were engaged during the entire event.”
