Per the State Legislature and the Teacher Retirement System,
beginning Sept. 1, 2015, the TRS Member Contribution rate will increase
from 6.7 percent to 7.2 percent. This increase will
first appear on your Sept. 15, 2015 paycheck.
Wait, we are contributing more to TRS when they did not increase the cost of insurance benefits to retired members for the 2nd year in a row when active members have had rate increases every year since the district switched to TRS Active Care? Something is not right. I wish I was closer to retirement, dang!
