Nate Gordon retires after 38 years

Former athletes of Nate Gordon surround their former coach at his retirement celebration on Aug. 26 at the Berry Center.

Associate director of athletics Nate Gordon retired effective Aug. 31 after 38 years of service, all in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD.

Gordon served as a teacher, coach and administrator at Bleyl MS, Langham Creek HS and Cypress Creek HS before closing out his career as associate director of athletics.

Friends, family co-workers and colleagues of Gordon’s gathered for a retirement celebration at the Berry Center on Aug. 26. Several former athletes spoke at the event, sharing funny and inspirational stories while thanking Gordon for his guidance in their lives.
