Thorton MS students serve during the holidays

Thorton MS principal Reggie Mitchell, Mrs. Williams and Star of Hope representative Kathrin proudly display their generosity, sorting 2,400 meals for families in need.

Thorton MS students in leadership groups visited the Houston Food Bank on Monday, Dec. 28 for a day of service. Students sorted and packaged food that will be delivered to those in need. In addition to their service, students also raised $800 through a Fun Fest in October. This money was donated to Star of Hope Mission, who partners with Houston Food Bank, and will help to feed 2,400 people.

Jennifer O'Campo and Gisselle Rayo work happily together to put together thousands of meals for people in need.

  1. Way to go, Ms. Williams. You are a wonderful example for our students. We have the sweetest students in Houston. :-)
