Bilingual staff participate in 'Conversations in Spanish' for stronger customer service

Bilingual CFISD staff met Oct. 10 to review and learn best practices for customer service.
Bilingual staff from around CFISD met on Oct. 10 to participate in Conversations in Spanish, a round-table workshop to improve customer service skills. Participants were provided customer service scenarios to act out as a way to reciprocate real scenarios with Spanish speaking customers.

Rosario Meehan, coordinator for Spanish public relations and roundtable organizer (pictured below, right), along with Emilia Rivas, curriculum department translator (pictured left), facilitated the sessions and provided insight for campus and department leaders.

"We have held many bilingual workshops, but this one was different," Meehan said. "The real-life scenarios provided a new way to teach customer service tips. We will definitely use this model for opportunities for bilingual staff."
