The Fiest ES Sunshine Committee hosted a campus-wide bake-off contest on Oct. 14.
Guest judges included school volunteers from Cornerstone United Methodist Church; Roy Garcia, associate superintendent of school administration and leadership development; and Dr. Carla Brosnahan, assistant superintendent of elementary administration.
Third-grade teacher Latrice Jeffrey was the first-place winner with her ghost pumpkin cake pops, followed by runner-up, Instructional Specialist Kendall McKinney’s scary dirt cake. The third-place award went to first-grade teacher Vicki Skweres’ spider peanut butter blossoms.
