CFISD’s food services team, along with Stephanie Baker from Ready to Grow Gardens, visited Keith ES on Dec. 15 with Power Up Café Blender Bikes for fourth-grade students to experience.
Students took turns pedaling stationary bikes, which promote fitness while creating a delicious smoothie from an affixed blender. The food services team supplied the fruit and yogurt for the smoothies, while the spinach came from Keith’s garden—planted and harvested by Keith students through Baker’s school garden program.
