North Harris County Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) awarded a grant to the Maybelline Carpenter Center on Saturday, March 4. The grant will be used to purchase library books for the students to read in the Read for the Cure program, raising money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
