Thornton MS wins Junior League of the Woodlands attendance contest

Thornton Middle School principal Reggie Mitchell accepts a check for $500 from representatives of the Junior League of the Woodlands at the IMPACT 2017 event on Feb. 4.
Thornton MS received $500 from the Junior League of the Woodlands at the IMPACT 2017 event on Feb. 4 as a part of an attendance contest between schools in CFISD.

Junior League of The Woodlands, Inc. is an organization of women who are committed to: promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. The organization’s purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The annual IMPACT conference provides knowledge and skills needed to instill positive self-esteem within children, adolescents, and peers to over 36,000 individuals including parents, educators, and students.
