In Memory of Margaret Reed

Retired CFISD employee Margaret Reed (born May 24, 1949) passed away on May 8, 2018. She was 68 years old. 

In 1986, Margaret joined CFISD, serving three years as a teacher at Arnold MS and then taught in Conroe and Tomball ISDs.

In March of 1997, she returned to CFISD as a senior programmer/analyst. In 2000, she became the manager of student information systems, then became the director of information services beginning in the 2004-2005 school year. She retired in June 2012 with 18 years of service in CFISD and 29 years of service overall.

A service will be held at Hosanna Lutheran Church (134 Camp Meeting Rd., Kerrville, TX 78028) on Thursday, May 24 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by lunch. 

For those unable to attend the service in Kerrville, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 at St. Timothy Lutheran Church (14225 Hargrave Rd., Houston, TX 77070). Lunch will be served afterwards. 

The Reed family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorials be given in Margaret's memory to the Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalist program. Donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 293972, Kerrville, TX 78029. For more information on the Texas Master Naturalist, click here.
