Author at Dean MS

Self-published, young adult novelist Geo Ivery visited sixth-grade students at Dean MS on Sept. 19. Teacher Joe Baird and librarian Sandra Pallante organized the event after Baird had the opportunity to meet with Ivery at a bookstore. According to Baird, coincidentally Ivery's assistant, Alejandro Otero, is a former student of Dean MS.

The author gave six presentations to more than 400 students. He shared his experiences in the industry and offered advice on how to be a successful writer. He also answered questions from the students.
