2015-2016 Literary Model Teachers

The reading/language arts, second through fifth grade, curriculum department is pleased to announce six new Literacy Model Teachers for the 2015-2016 school year. Literacy Model Teachers empower and inspire other CFISD educators to use best practices in literacy instruction through classroom observation, professional development and peer coaching. There are now 35 second through fifth grade Literacy Model Teachers at schools throughout the district.


The 2015-2016 Literacy Model Teachers are as follows: 
Lourdes Duarte, second grade, Millsap ES
Kathryn Lankford, second grade, Farney ES
Emilie Manner, third grade, Warner ES
Stephanie Cass, fourth grade, Sheridan ES
Jennifer Garland, fourth grade, Sheridan ES
Heather Barnett, fifth grade, Reed ES
Jessica Milliren, fifth grade, Woodard ES
