Caroline Reese, born June 21, 1966, a beloved part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District family for 33 years, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021.
Caroline graduated from Northbrook High School in Spring
Branch ISD in the Spring of 1984. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education
and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Sam Houston State University in the
Spring of 1988. She then received her Master of Educational Administration
from Prairie View A&M University, along with her Mid-Management
Certification.
Caroline began her teaching career at Arnold Middle School
in 1988, where she taught eighth grade math and algebra. She was the
Math Department Chair from 1991-1995. In 1995 she became an Algebra I and
Algebra II teacher and Team Leader at Langham Creek High School. In 1996 she
became a Director of Instruction. In 1997, she became the High School Special
Education Supervisor at Cy-Fair High School. Then, in 2014, she moved to the
Instructional Support Center and became a High School Special Education
Coordinator.
Caroline had been out on leave due to illness, which was not COVID-related. After a few weeks in the hospital, she was released to rehab care and made progress and was released to home right before Christmas. She really missed her work family and was ready to get back to work. We will miss Caroline and her sense of humor. She always had out-of-the-box ideas for student accommodations and helping teachers. She touched many lives, as a teacher, Department Chair, Director of Instruction, Special Education Administrator, mentor and Secondary Special Education Coordinator.
