Linh Le was born on Oct. 26, 1951 in Hải Phòng, Vietnam.
She was a wonderful part of the Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District for
10 years.
Conditions around her family sent them to South Vietnam when she
was 3 years old. It was here she attended French Catholic school. Linh was
fluent in English, Vietnamese, and French. She attended the University of Law
in Saigon and after her studies were interrupted due to environmental
conditions, she became a history teacher at the junior high.
In 1980, Linh was a refugee in the Philippines where she was the
teacher aide and a Vietnamese/English interpreter for the British volunteers
who came to help the refugees transition to America. In 1980, she and her
siblings were also sponsored to move to Tulsa, Okla. It was here she met
her husband and they moved to Houston where they had 3 children. In 1988, Linh
became a U.S. citizen.
Linh started working in the nutrition services department as a food service worker in 2011 at Tipps Elementary. She worked there until she transferred to the substitute office in 2017. From there she moved to Kirk as a paraeducator in 2018.
Linh had been out on leave due to illness and had been excited
to return to work with the students and staff she loved. Linh was an incredibly
loving and caring individual to anyone around her. We miss her bright smile and
servant heart. She touched many lives with her kind words and random acts of kindness
throughout the Kirk community.
