In Memory of Truc Nguyen

October 20, 1974 - June 3, 2022

Truc was born on October 20, 1974, in Nha Trang, Vietnam to Khanh Phi Nguyen and Tot Thi Le. After Truc graduated from Spring Woods High School in 1993, she went on to continue her education at the University of Houston where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1998 and then her Masters of Education Technology degree at Lamar University in 2018. She dedicated her professional career to working with kids for the majority of it being at Cypress-Fairbanks.

Ms. Truc Nguyen was a faithful educator for over 23 years. Nineteen years were spent in Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. She began her career in Cypress-Fairbanks in 1984 at Watkins Middle School as a math teacher, in 2007 she was promoted to academic achievement helping teacher, then academic achievement specialist in 2014. Truc continued to have a lasting impact on the lives of students.   Last year Truc joined the staff at Cypress Springs High School as the testing and 504 Coordinator. Ms. Nguyen stepped in right away and became an important part of the Cypress Springs family. She always had a smile and was always trying to find solutions and solve problems during a challenging year. She was planning on beginning a new chapter in her life at the time of her sudden death. 

Truc surrounded herself with things in life that brought her joy. She loved traveling but was always down for a road trip which has taken her to all 50 states. She was always one who loved to drive fast, see odd things on her travel adventures, beautiful and intricate nail art, Marvel movies, being the first to experience new things, laughing (well... snorting), music, sing karaoke, and upcoming trends, beautiful sunrise/sunset and most of all, trying new food places. And games were her thing. She never missed an opportunity to introduce fun wacky games during family gatherings.  She loved being around people, her close friends, her VSA friends, her work friends, your friends, and my friends. She simply loved life, laughter, and bringing it to people. 

Truc was predeceased by her younger brother Trieu "Joey" Nguyen (2011) and younger sister Thu Nguyen (2016). She is survived by her parents, Khanh Phi Nguyen and Tot Thi Le, her brother Nick "Bubba" Nguyen and his wife Kim and daughters Terry and Kaitlyn, her sister Lucy Le and her husband Son and their children Alex and Tu Van, her sister Trang Nguyen and her daughters Sky and Belle, her sister Trinh Magbag and her husband Jose and their children Jordan and Sophia, her sister-in-law Mai Nguyen and her children Joseph and Morgan, her brother Ted Nguyen and his wife Brittany, her ex-husband Nguyen Vu, along with uncles, aunts, cousins and many, many close friends.
