In Memory of Carl Harwood
Fiest Elementary School Paraprofessional Carl Harwood, a former Air Force Load Master and oilfield veteran, passed away on May 10, 2024. After serving honorably in the Air Force, including stationed in Bangkok, Thailand, he had a long career with Texaco International, mostly in Angola, West Africa, before briefly working with ExxonMobil in the same region. He retired from ExxonMobil after fourteen years, having also worked in Chad and Deadhorse, Alaska. Van then began his final career at Fiest Elementary School in Houston, where he cherished his colleagues and his students. Carl served 7 years in CFISD.
