Beginning in May 2026, CFISD will recognize a FFA Member of the Year. And our special announcement tonight is that this award will be named in honor of former CFISD Board member Debbie Blackshear. Ms. Blackshear served on the CFISD Board of Trustees from 2015-2023. A 47-year resident of the CFISD community, Mrs. Blackshear has been a passionate supporter of our school district and FFA programs for decades. She has participated in the CFISD Livestock Show and Sale as a volunteer and buyer for 34 years, and is a former member of the Cy-Fair High School FFA Booster Club and Cypress Ranch High School FFA Booster Club. We are so excited to announce the Debbie Blackshear FFA Member of the Year Award in her honor.
