ParaEducator Services Committee meeting

Zana Carter introduces special guest speaker, Dr. Mark Henry, superintendent of schools, at the ParaEducator Services Committee meeting on May 7.

The Paraeducator Services Committee held its last meeting of 2014-2015 on May 7 in the Instructional Support Center professional library.

The event featured an introduction by Dr. Mark Henry, CFISD superintendent. The Cypress Woods HS theatrical group, “The Company,” under the direction of Toby Drake, Holly Knot and Miguel Maymi, provided entertainment.

The committee recognized Spotlight ParaEducators Mary Demny of Keith ES and Carol Luecke of Cy-Fair HS and Spotlight Support Staff Murphy Roberts of Goodson MS and Candelaria Aranzeta of Lamkin ES.

The five-year paraeducator recognition ceremony honored many dedicated employees throughout the district.

The new ParaEducator Services Committee board was installed for 2015-2016 school year, consisting of Kay Thompson, chair; Terri Marfisi, co-chair; and Janet Berlin, secretary.

The committee enjoyed a reception with cake donated by the Jones Road HEB.
