Willbern ES students were rewarded for their positive
behavior throughout the semester with a PBIS pep rally on May 8.
Fourth- and fifth-grade students had to use their PBIS “Whale
Bucks” to attend the pep rally; 300 Whale Bucks earned students a general admission seat while
400 bucks guaranteed front-row VIP status.
The pep rally featured Campbell MS student speakers, as well
as the boys’ and girls’ step teams who put on performances. Cy Creek HS was
also well-represented at the pep rally, with the cheerleading squad and drumline energizing the crowd.
“A lot of our students didn’t even know what a pep rally was, but when we showed them videos, they wanted to buy tickets!” said Willbern ES Principal Dr. Carrie Marz. “It was a great experience to share with some of our vertical-alignment campuses.”
