In Memory of Randall Kight

Randy Kight, a longtime teacher and head softball coach at Cypress Creek High School, passed away on Feb. 12, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. He taught a total of 45 years, including 29 with CFISD. Coach Kight began his CFISD career in August of 1991, continuing until his retirement in May 2021.
He achieved his 400th career win on March 9, 2021 as the Cougars defeated Cypress Ridge.
Coach Kight is survived by his wife, Kathy Fling, a retired Cypress Creek girls' soccer coach who he met at the campus.
