Superintendent’s Fun Run and Festival -- Feb. 27, 2016

The 3rd Annual Superintendent’s Fun Run and Festival benefiting the Cy-Fair Educational Foundation will be held Feb. 27, 2016 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Berry Center (8877 Barker Cypress Road).

The community programs department announced it would expand festival activities with a large children's zone, live music from Sawdust Road, student performances and vendor booths.

A certified 5K run, family walk and 1-mile run are offered. The second annual event raised $40,000 for the CFEF, which raises money for student scholarships.

Those who do not run can enjoy the family-friendly atmosphere complete with food trucks, crawfish, treats and more.

H.O.P.E. members work with the community programs department to sponsor an annual Health Expo to raise funds for H.O.P.E. scholarships.
This year, Alexis Longmire and Brandon Anselmi of Cy-Fair HS, Kaitlyn Jones and Nayeli Novoa of Cypress Falls HS and Nicole Miller of Cypress Ranch HS were each awarded H.O.P.E. scholarships in the amount of $2,000.
