Review your paycheck!

New 2015-2016 benefit plan year insurance premium deductions were included in your Sept. 15, 2015 paycheck.  Please review your paycheck to determine that your insurance deductions correctly reflect your benefit plan selections made during the recent open enrollment period.

2 Weeks Remain in Mandatory Annual Open Enrollment Period

The Mandatory Cypress-Fairbanks ISD Annual Open Enrollment Benefits Period is almost over. Employees have until Aug. 31, 2015 to enroll; however, are encouraged to complete your enrollment soon to avoid final day processing delays due to increase volume.   

There will be no exceptions to the Aug. 31 deadline, and employees will not be able to make changes again without a special enrollment event until next summer.  

All returning full-time and half-time employees are required to log on to the benefitsConnect on-line enrollment system and either enroll, confirm, or WAIVE (DECLINE) their TRS-ActiveCare Health Benefits. This mandatory enrollment is new for the 2015-2016 benefit plan year and is required per TRS-ActiveCare and Affordable Care Act regulations.

New hires have 30 days from their first paid day of employment to enroll. Contact the Insurance department at 281-897-4747 or 281-897-4138 with any questions.

Medical Insurance Eligibility

All full-time employees, regardless of number of hours worked, and all substitute, temporary, seasonal and part-time employees working 10 or more hours per week are eligible to enroll in the 2015-2016 TRS-ActiveCare Health Insurance plans during the upcoming open enrollment period. 

Substitutes, temporary, seasonal and part-time employees can enroll by submitting enrollment forms, available on the insurance department’s website, to the insurance office by the end of the open enrollment period. 

TRS retirees are prohibited from enrolling per TRS regulations.
